I had the Vertical Sleeve done by Dr. Schweitzer at Johns Hopkins last week. I agree with the other poster. The hospital experience was excellent. No complications and the nurses and doctors took GREAT care of me. They even called me 2 or 3 times after I left the hospital to check on me.

I am so happy for you and understand the feeling of getting the date. I go on 4/5/11 and I too am waiting for BCBS to approve me. My husband was approved in just one week. The hospital called me last night ot verify all my insurance info and I believe they are submitting it today. She told me I should hear back from them with in 2-4 business days. Good luck and happy losing

good luck! sorry to hear about not being approved for vsg. i think that is wrong. people should have a choice which surgery they choose. i might have gone that route if i knew anything about it but that was three years ago. i love my rny but i do get hypoglycemia when i am not eating right.
