Thanks, I went on that site but i just found a pcp that is affiliated with the hospital where i am going to have my surgery.

I will do what you said about asking the surgeon....Thanks again

Welcome. I am only 3 months out from RNY. I am learning very quickly exersice is the key for me. I do fear on a daily basic that I will fail with the surgery. Good look to you on getting back on track.

I did not have a sleeve, however when I was doing research my surgeon told me it is shaped the size of a banana.

Does anyone know a PCP that has WLS patience in Maryland....I dint want to go through the whole process of getting a new doctor that I have to convince that I need it.

I have UHC and I live in lanham, MD......So if anyone is in my area and knows a doctor that deals with us and takes UHC please let me know!

SO relieved to get my date - April 12th! Apparently the same day as my surgeon's daughter's birthday so happy birthday to her and happy "new body birthday" to me!! Keeping fingers crossed that BCBS doesn't pull any BS and deny me for any reason. After all, couldn't get the sleeve because of their arbitrary policies. (IMO a surgery that's been around for several years shouldn't be considered "experimental")
BUT very happy to be RNY bypass and TOTALLY motivated to get this first step over & on to the next step of reclaiming my body!
