I had RNY with Dr. David Von Ruden at St. Agnes Hospital and he is a very experienced doctor with a wonderful staff.
He's a bit shy at first but he is compassionate, caring and will be there for you always.  I am 4 years out and he has always returned my calls and even given me his cell#  He even called my house during the weekend to find out how I was coming along after surgery.

Good luck with your decision.  Make sure to go to few different seminar and that will help you make your decision.  :)

Dr. Mark Kligman at University of Maryland.  His whole entire staff are excellent.  Of course he is too.

Dr. David von Rueden 0 office is in Catonsville, MD and operates out of St. Agness and St. Joe's.

Has a great staff.

I’m currently in the process, hoping to have WLS late Aug – Sept time frame. My doctor is Dr. Averbach, I like him and his office staff.  He's located in the Catonsville and affiliated with St. Agnes Hospital.

I went with Dr. Cynthia Long at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.
She originally had her practice in Silver Spring, then moved to Sinai. I was one of the folks that followed her there. I am very pleased with her and her expertise, not to mention she is completely down to earth. She is straight up and doesn't play around, I think she takes what she does very seriously. I have not met or been to any other seminars in Baltimore ( jus Montgomery county) but I know/heard of many great surgeons in the bmore area. People rave about Hopkins Bayview.
