Topic: I'm back!
Hi all - I'm back again after a long hiatus....I was all the way through the GB program with Kaiser in later 2009 and even had a date....but then I kept losing and losing on my own and the surgery was ill-advised...then I had a lot of family issues come up and of course, like every time in the past, I gained it all back. I'm still travelling for work like a fiend, but when I get home in a couple of weeks I'm headed back to my doc to get the ball rolling again. I hope they take me back.
the big reason for my post here today, though, is to see if anyone hear has any experience going through the GB pre-op and getting an approvel with Cigna insurance. We still have Kaiser where I work, but it might be discontinued next year, and I'd hate to go through their program only to have to leave them right before the surgery and start over. I haven't seen much posted about Cigna --- I think the option we have is called Open Choice.--- and I know that 'regular' insurance companies are way different from Kaiser - I really like Kaiser and will hate to lose them if I have to.
Hope everone is having a nice weekend!
Cheers!

Topic: RE: Considering a Revision Consult....
Sorry to hear that you've continued to have difficulties, but I'm so glad you're seeing Dr. Singh. I love him lots!
I did really well, and yes, I sympathize with you on the heartburn/reflux thing - I started getting that lately, and am trying different things with regards to that. My mother has had heartburn problems herself and she's not a WLS person - so I'm thinking either we are just too acidic for our own good, genetically, LOL! And because she chews tums daily, I'm not attributing the reflux/acid/whatever it is to my band.
I got to goal this past March, but then moved to Richmond, and kinda started putting it back on. I'm going to Dominion Surgical Associates this afternoon to meet with that group who is listed as a Lapband provider - so I can get maintenance. I hadn't had a fill since March 2010 - and I'm pretty sure it's time for it now that I can eat a bit more than I should be.
Keep me posted! I don't come through here often because I get my fill of how everyone's doing at a snapshot on Facebook. It seems to be easier to know what's up with everyone there than here. You can find me as Candy Mott-Harris. :)

Love your avatar!!! Keep up the good work. I feel you on the clothes. It can be expensive. I am still larger than you so I cant help but I wanted to give you kudos and if you need help with your childhood obesity program let me know.
