Hans, I'm not one who believes it's OK to just to do as good as you can and  try to stick close to the Doctor's program>  Hell, I bet none of us would tell our Doctor "OK, just try to do as close as ya can to a good job on my operation - it's OK if ya screw up a little." That's BS and we all know it.  This ain't the Main Board - no "Oh, poor dear and ((Hugs)) it'll be OK".  Man up and do what you are supposed to do!! Now don't misunderstand - I fully support you and want you to be successful - both in pre-op and post-op.  That is exactly why I am not gonna say "It's OK" - because it's not and you know it.  Now, get back on track with your program and kick azz Brother!!  We are here for ya!

Hans slipping up before  sergury is no big deal but after it is . Uc davis in sacramento where I had rny has one of the safest records for RNY in the country and I was allowed to eat up until 2 days before surgery. Every doctor has there own rules so follow yours but again dont beat your self up you will have alot to deal with after surgery next week good luck

Hans,

I don't have too much to add to what everyone else has said.  Since making this decision to undergo WLS, I have had a positive outlook towards having a healthy long life, I have been much more positive about my future and I feel that I have taken control of my life.  I look at this surgery as a great gift, one that I have given myself.  You deserve this gift and you deserve the best of both your surgeon and yourself.

Best of luck with the next week.

Jim
