I am Home!
O)k so things didn't go to great but not too bad either. Yesterday I couldn't pass the barium test. It made it through the stoma ok but it didn't want to pass into the lower intestines due to gas build up. My lower intestines shut down for the day. Back to normal today though. I was sent home.
Now at home the hole where my JP drain was is oozing pretty bad. But they say as long as its clear it is normal. I am changing the gauze every 30 min to an hour or so. Today I have gotten in 23 grams protein and about 36 oz of water. along with a little Jello and broth all included in that.
Glad to be home and sorry if this don't make a lot of sense because I just took my pain medicine and am a little tired while typing.
Real quick other good news I lost 19 lbs last week in prep for surgery even though I didnt have too. I went from 406 to 387 in one week. thats a FART to me.
Move Over Guys! Im plopping my fat(soon to be skinny) ass down on the losers bench!
Great to have you back, Chris. The next few days will be the toughest. It only gets better after that. Keep us posted on your progress.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
"Hey Chunky Dunker the ripples are getting smaller!" Glad to hear you are home and all is well. Sounds like you are experiencing some of the same issues Sandra experienced. It does get better day by day. Congrats on the 19 lbs before surgery and reaching the 3's. I know in no time you will be closing in on the 2's and the ripples will be even smaller.

Welcome Home (and to the loser's bench)! I wish you a speedy recovery.
Drains suck, mine hurt REALLY bad coming out, kept getting sucked back in, thought i was gonna have a heart attack HAHA....and the feeding tube wasn't as bad but green stuff poured out when he removed it, that was LOVELY!
Beleive it or not the hole will close up pretty quickly.
