Bowel Prep! LOL

So, tomorrow's the big day and this morning I drink this "sparkling cherry" bottle of magnesium citrate... I have never taken a laxative in my life and my only visual image is the guy from the movie Dumb and Dumber having a ride on a toilet!

So after I drink this stuff, I'm expecting magic to happen like right now... 1 hr goes by, then 2. I start to think to myself that maybe this stuff just isn't worki.... WHOA!!! I thought I was going to not only "redecorate" my couch, but possibly the carpets too it came on so strong and sudden!

The reason for my post is nothing more than a diversion to make light of my situation (and I'm sure many of yours as well!) and to hopefully put a smile on your faces. I appreciate all of you and I'm scheduled for 9:30 tomorrow at Virginia Mason... I'll talk to you soon after I'm back and let you know how it all went! Peace, John

It's funny how some surgeons require a bowel prep and some dont. Luckily mine didnt. Be well John, let us know when your on your feet again. John

I had to do the same thing so I understand exactly what you mean. Don't worry it isn't over yet. LOL

Worst part for me was the taste of that crap!!! Thought I was going to barf it all back out. YUK!!!!!

Good luck today, I hope it all goes well for you. I have had to do that bowel prep a couple times, and each doc had his own favorite product. One of them ruined gatorade for me. I'll never be able to drink it again. I was supposed to mix it with gatorade to lessen the nasty taste. All it accomplished was making me want to puke when I drink gatorade now. Scott
