OH Men's Board Refugees Yahoo Group

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/ohmbr/

This group is designed to be what the OH pays lips service to regarding its Men's Board; a place for guys only, who have had or are thinking about having bariatric weight loss surgery, where no topic is off limits, designed to be the same sort of experience as the OH Men's board with several improvements:

1) No tuna, not even lurkers, sorry Charlie.
2) No OH staffers allowed.
3) No moderation other than group peer pressure.
4) The ability to post documents.
5) The ability to post pictures.
    (no sombrero pictures allowed !!!)

In order to keep spam-bots from polluting the board with offers of Nigerian fortunes smuggled directly into your bank account, etc, etc, it will be necessary to submit and be approved for membership, but that is a mechanical necessity, and if you are a guy, you are going to be approved. Refugees from the OH Men's Board particularly welcome. THIS locker room has locks on the doors!

Work is for those who don't know how to fish.

Thanks I am now joining Quix and this group. OH is full of power hungry ******* who like to censor our posts and tell us what to believe in. They can't brainwash me!

The Yahoo group was set up by Paul in Dallas.  May be a good one - I joined and am "Pending Approval". I'll still post here for a while to see how all this works out.

I remember the last time this happened, some post-op started a group. Not sure what happened, but later, automatic weapons fanatics were sending us PM's about his fraudulent "sale" of M-16 parts. It just seems never to work.

Dave, That was Will's YaHoo Group. About 2 years ago or a little more. (Lord we've been here a while!) YaHoo Groups tend to be difficult. An azz-load of drama today. Blah, blah, blah…. Seen it before, have the Tee-shirt and all that crap… Quix has changed quite a bit since over the last year. In the process of setting up a "Men's Forum." Once that is done, It may be a very beneficial place For refugees from OH. (or any guys interested in WLS for that matter) Till Then, It's another site with a mix of men and women With the men making up less than 20% of the population. (yet, those women aren’t the same sort of “glitter-butterfly-hugz” Bunch that make up the majority of the main board here. There’s a big difference between Tuna and Dolphins.  Dolphins Think.) I will continue being a “Multi-Board Guy.” Until thrown out. And even then I’ll probably keep in touch with Those I have e-mail addresses for… No YaHoo E-Mail address though… Those bast*rds will spam the hell out of you! Best Wishes- Dx

I joined the yahoo group also. My philiosophy is to hit em in the wallet by not patronizing the OH Sponsors and letting the advertisers know that I will not be patronizing them and why.
