Isn't this thread exactly what you are complaining about.
Probably in part. Minus my part, of course.

I've been watching all of this estrogen induced melodrama unfold, I swear that If I didn't know better, I'd think I was on the womens forum   It seems that some of the guys have gotten an extra dose of estrogen or something. (I didn't think guys got PMS).  I personally don't see what all the fuss is about.  There are a great bunch of guys here and I have learned a lot!  I just can't believe that one guys post (Paul) can cause so much pandemonium.  I'm sorry, but I still have my pair and I'm just calling it like I see it.  I bet the gals in tuna town are laughing their asses off!

I have stuck around but, I am not happy with the OH administration either. Yeah, the drama sux and I am sure there are women laughing about it but they don't really know what they are laughing about. The fact is OH has quit caring about its members and they targeted the mens board. They knew when they put that post up it was going to get a reaction. I am not all into conspiracy but they only put that post on 7 out of 114 forums here. It is obvious what they were up to. The women heavily out number us men and they don't like it that they cant come in here and take over. The OH admin is just going with the masses.

Work is for those who don't know how to fish.

Once again keep in mind, OH is not here because they want to help us all out. That may have been the intent in the beginning, but I assure you they don't give a rats ass about any of us at this point. This site is about the almighty dollar. You think for a second as big as this site is now they aren't making money hand over fist? It's all about the dollar now, so I say we use it to our advantage as best we can, but  always remember that almighty buck will always be more important than any of us to the people that run this monkey show.

Getting on my soap box again...OH is a great site...But it is run for profit.  If you have a chance, take a look at your next OH regional conference.  Take a look at who the speakers are.  Come spend big money to hear a couple of plastic surgeons market their wares...UH...No thanks.  Brian

Event Co-Sponsor - Christa Clark, M.D.

My philosophy for patients considering cosmetic and reconstructive surgery is dedication to personal treatment. I offer a woman's unique perspective and creative expertise as I design procedures in line with the individual needs of each of my patients. I am interested in all types of plastic surgery--from a woman who desires breast reconstruction following mastectomy, to a young mother wishing to improve her figure after having children. With the appropriately selected procedure, plastic surgery may be a way to enhance self-esteem and bring about that confidence from within. It is my goal to help patients be all that that can be by safely delivering state of the art surgical techniques to ensure natural results. Originally from Michigan, I attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, where I earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Economics and English Literature. I received my Doctor of Medicine Degree in 1999 with High Distinction from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, and graduated in the top ten of my class. My surgical training then transported me to California where I completed a combined general and plastic surgery residency at the prestigious Stanford University Medical Center, training with world-renowned plastic surgeons reconstructing devastating injuries. I have always had a strong interest in giving back to those less fortunate. During my residency training, I traveled to Haiti, Guatemala, and Peru to perform reconstructive surgery on both children and adults. These humanitarian efforts provided complimentary care to those who suffered from facial and body deformities caused by birth and trauma related injuries. My experiences as a surgeon on these missions have been some of the most enriching of my life. Following completion of my residency, I was chosen for advanced cosmetic fellowship training in San Francisco with plastic surgeon Dr. John Q. Owsley, a pioneer of cosmetic surgery and face-lifting techniques. Licensed in California, I am a member of the American Medical Association, American Medical Women's Association, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. However, just as important as my credentials is my ability to establish meaningful relationships with my patients. I treat my patients as I would want a member of my family to be treated and my friendly personality puts patients at ease during the consultation process. Selecting a surgeon is an important decision; my goal is to contribute my attention to detail and knowledge of the most sophisticated plastic surgery procedures available to bring out the beauty within you.

No, I believe you.  Although I'll bet that the PSions never gave OH the time of day as long as post-ops could get the $$$ for PS by borrowing against the value of their houses.  Now that that option is gone, PSions have to start advertising and working these types of seminars.  It seems a bit desperate to me; I wonder if their prices will ever go down?

Hey, for $60, you get a "free onsite consultation"!!!  What a deal!
