Help?- guys I have done amazing since surgery. 394 the day of surgery and I'm at 292 know. The bad part is I had my 3 month's visit June 26 and i haven't lose an once on the scale. 4-5 days a week I walk 3-6 miles. 50 pushups a day. My eating habits are not the best. Example of daily meal ( Keep in mind I was always a meat/potatoe guy, never ate veg or fruit my entire life). Breakfast- 1 slice of whole wheat bread(toasted) with cheese
mid morning- 1 cup of suger free pudding
lunch- 6-7 pieces pop corn chicken from Kfc, three cheese crackers
afternoon snack- popcycle sf, pudding, or peanut butter on some crackers
supper- Steak and cheese burrito, cut in half to make the next day lunch also

My quess is that I'm between 800 and 1200 calories on any given day.

My questions is ? Is the weight stop normal ? Do i need to change everything about my diet that has worked to this point?
Just fustrated and need some guidence.

Thanks, Ken

Doing pretty good.  If you want to bend over, we all will give you a kick in the butt for the KFC...This thing is a tool.  Start learning those boring, good food habits that will extend for the rest of your life.  Brian

Brain you are right. I had got to the point with crackers and cheese for the first two months that  I was going crazy. The Kfc thing is once a week and that is still to much. I need to find other foods just for the nut. Because I'm really not hungry. I'm hoping that as i keep up with everyone around the website, I will start getting new ideas. And I'm also hoping that I will step on the scale and it will bounced down a few pounds soon. I've lost alot of inches and I do feel great. Thanks, Ken

STOP WITH THE KFC! Only once a week is too much IMO. Sounds like too much fat & carbs going in to me.  You've done a good job, but need to adjust a couple of thing! Now GET BACK ON TRACK and off the KFC wagon - you can do it!

ditto that...you risked your life having this surgery and you're doing great....dont mess it up by getting back into old habits, especially so early out!  if you have to eat out just make better choices, just about all the fast food chains now have something you can eat...wendy's chili, tacobell light menu, salads w/ grilled chicken, etc... good luck! hopefully the pounds start flying off again soon!

fyi, stalls are completely normal but the fried food doesnt help.

Ken...A few ideas for the not cooking type of guy...Boring but easy to do.  Protein...find a good protein shake.  Yeh it really is hard to find and with most you just have to chug it down like medicine (in some ways it is).  Tuna or egg salad.  Grab a can of tuna (or do 2 at a time) and add some low fat mayo and maybe some pickle relish made with Splenda (Mt. Olive).  Add some salt and pepper to both.  Have some fresh spinach leaves to pick at throughout the day...the same with carrots.  Keep them in the front of the fridge.  Look for them in the store clean and prepackaged.   If you want fast food go with Wendi's Chili.  I add some cheese to mine or you can ask for it with cheese there.  Maybe have it for breakfast.  Get a couple different bags of mixed frozen vegetables. Put a small amout in a microwave container with alittle water and salt.  Cook for 1-2 minutes.  Put in the fridge and pick at it before the cheese and cracker.  Nothing wrong with the cheese and cracker or the KFC (in very moderation) if you are exercising and eating the right foods too.  Brian   PS  What are you dipping that popcorn chicken in??  Your talking to guys who have been there.  That's why we're on this site!

Ken, just want to remind you we are here for support.  I think some of the guys tone was pretty harsh (mine included).  This is not a "beat up Ken day".  We just have all seen where things like KFC will get us.  I have gone back to Pepsi.  Yeh, a 12 oz can a few times a week.  Is it stupid?  Yes...Is it playing with fire??  Yes  We all face our demons and will test our limits over time.  Just want you to know we are really here for support and lifting each other up.  You really are doing good.  What I'm trying to say is we'll kick you in the butt when you need it, but we won't kick you when your down.  Brian
