I know I have'nt been active on the board but thats all about to change. I got a date today for my lap-band. Sept 18th. It's been a long road!!!!  If it was'nt for my wonderful wife and all her support I dont know if I could have done it. My wife is just over a year out and down 100+ lbs since being banded. Check out her OH profile her name is cindita. She is is going to be a great coach! I'm going to be looking to all of you for help as well. I look forward to getting to know all of you much better.

Having been a member of OH since July, 2000, I've seen several couple go for WLS and they all seem to work out well.  The key seems to be to having one of them get the WLS about 2-3 mos before the other one.  That way they are both careful about what they are eating, they are hydrated, they get in their exercise, and they can each subsequently care for each other following their respective surgeries.  The first couple I came accross that did this is VitaLady and her husband.  A few men have posted within the past year that they and their wives have had the WLS.  I hope they contact you as you go through this whole process.
