Former fat man done good
Hey there,
Had a couple of you locker roomers tell me I should create a thread for this personal fart with the hopes it might provide some inspiration to "get on your bikes and ride."
CBS 4 ran 3 "former fatman done good" spots on me during the week of Ride the Rockies, a week long romp on my bicycle through the Rocky Mountains. Here's a link to the first and longest one.

The reporter Greg Moody told me this link got the most hits on CBS 4's entire website during the week of Ride the Rockies. Must have been a slow week.
The other two shorter pieces (no links) were "crazy man doesn't take day off and rides 65 miles so he can top 500 miles or a mile for every pound he used to weigh" and another summary one on the rides three most inspirational stories (an 80 year old guy, former Olympic silver medalist Nelson Vails and me).
Tour de Fat rocks on!

Boner,
That truly is an inspiration to each and every one of us. You should be very proud of yourself. And I can tell you for sure that this member of the Locker Room and fellow person of WLS is very proud of you. Sarah looks and seems to be a true sweetheart! I hope you and Sarah continue to ride together. And I hope your dream of riding with her in "Ride the Rockies" comes true! Thanks for a terrific inspirational story!!

You continue to be a true leader, teacher and inspiration here. Thanks for all you do and congrats on the ride and the story. I guess the best you can hope for now is that Big Boner is half as successful as you are.
Thanks again
Lou

I don't want this to sound bad, but you're a hell of a lot more civilized than what I would've guessed from reading your posts on here the last 6 months or so. I had you pegged as a little more of a wildass than what you come off on TV. Anyway....congratulations on getting the chance to spread the news on health, fitness, WLS, and the importance of involving your children in your life. That last one may be the most important of all of them. My esteem for you just went from 9 to 10.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
