Interview update

Well I had my interview this morning. It was with 5 different people. They still 4 other candidates but I thought I did ok. I got a good feeling from 2 of the people. The last person was a hard read. She was also the that asked me the weirdest question. She asked me what negative thing my boss would say about me. The only thing I could come up with is that I email him too much. I said she would have to ask him but basically I like to give too much details on projects and that was all I could come up with.

The HR Rep asked what other positions I was going to apply for. I said I was very picky because I was only looking at certain positions and that I probably would not post for another one unless it were in the same department.

I looked at your latest posts going back to July 28 and I can't find out what job you are talking about.  What job or jobs are you applying for?  I know you have a tech background.  Did you go for 5 interviews or 1 interview with 5 panelists?

I remember that when I was applying for a job at Social Security, they'd have one person conducting the interview but have 3 applicants being interviewed.  That was one of the few times where I was outgoing and I got the job.

It was for for a job in Data Seciruty as an Analyst. I did find out I am up against someone in the department they are favoring so it does not look good right now. Oh well I knew it would be an uphill battle.

But, you went for it.  That is the important thing.  We don't get everything we try for or go after, but if you don't try-  You die.  I hope you get the job you want, but if you don't, it isn't because you didn't try.  At some point in the past, I would not have gone for a promotion. You did.
