Got this message from Pork Chop prior to his WLS this morning so I hope he doesn't mind me sharing it. How cool is it to know that you're able to help someone in their WLS journey (Big Boner in this case),  then they turn around and help someone else (Pork Chop). That's why the Locker Room is such an awesome resource.....  [Protein drink]

Hello old friend!

Well the time is nearing and I finally got signed up here [Locker Room] to keep in touch with you and Larry [Big Boner].  He has been a big help already and I look forward to working out with him.  I have been busy getting several things done around the house that will either have to wait for a while if not done or need to be done before surgery.  I have set up an excersise room in a basement bedroom and hope it will help me stay focused and I hope to have Larry come over when winter hits in addition to the Lied Center.

I go to Omaha at noon tomorrow and check into a motel to start the cleansing routine as my surgery is early  ---7:15 Thurs

I appreciate all the help by way of Larry already and hope to keep in contact a lot.  I can't find the right words to tell you how proud and impressed with your success and how great you look.  I had not seen you for years until your Mom's funeral and was pretty surprised at your size.  I only wish I have half as much success and I wish as I'm sure you do that my Mom could have seen me fit once more.

Thanks for posting PorkChop's message. I'm always amazed and pleased at the way other people's experiences can help us. And I know how PorkChop feels. I wish my father could have been here when I had wls. It woud have made him so happy for me.

I know what you mean about wishing your  father could have been there.
My father died last Feb 2007 and he had been obese since 1945 and had tried everything but surgery to loose weight. He is one of the reasons I have decided to go through with my surgery.
My sister had lapband in Feb and has lost 61 lbs and she is a big encouragement also.
I wish Pork Chop the best in his surgery and I am with him in spirit as I hope our fathers were with us during our surgeries.
