Hey guys...I have my final two tests next week and then after the Dr office gets the results they will file with the insurance. I had switched my surgeons due to some personal reasons and she reqd a few more tests and for me to lose a little more weight.

In fact she is the first surgeon I met...when I posted way back when...so I think I am looking at Oct now. I have been just plugging away on Optifast and have done pretty well in 10 weeks. I will stay on this program till surgery probably and hopefully drop like another 30...how everyone is doing well and the scales are moving for you!

Congrats on getting close.

You're a trooper. I'm sure you've noticed in the forums that no one else has been asked to do what you have. I was asked to lose 10% before they booked surgery (which meant 33 lbs). Others aren't asked to lose weight but to do a 2 week version of what you have done prior to surgery.

And yet there you are plugging away. I'm sure I would've been looking at new doctors or at least seriously questioning them about this policy of theirs.

On the other hand, this can only help you, and I'm sure it makes you feel good about dealing with the after effects of surgery.

Good job!

Trust me a lot of us have jumped through hoops, the insurance had their requirements and the Hospital had theirs. With me I under went several test do to health issues, but as my surgeon said I want to know everything before gong in so it minimizes the surprises. Just like pulling Bama off the table for more test! It should give you confidence in your WLS Team. Great job I see this Rhino on the extinction list we may have to start calling you Greyhound!!!!

Keep it up Rhino you will get there. Hell look at the weight that you have dropped .  You might be the first to get to goal without surgery. Keep up the good work and the bench is waiting. Ken

Way to go Rhino!! Seeing the weight you lost already proves you will be successful when WLS time comes! (my doc's only requirement was that I didn't gain any weight - if I gained even 1 pound....he wouldn't do surgery...I ended up losing 8lbs.) So hang in there and keep pluggin cause time will go fast now!!

You have already accomplished a lot, my man.  Keep up the great work.  You are gonna be so ready for the surgery that you probably wont even need anesthesia.  Well, maybe a little.  Just hang in there for a little while longer and soon you will get to graduate from liquids to mushies.  By the way, how are ya gonna keep all the women away from the new bod?
