I sent a personal message to the lady who was making intrusions and ask her to stay off the men's site. I told her its like Las Vagas or an AA meeting what you see here stays here.
I feel that it is an incredible oportunity to share and learn and I appreciate the humor and jokes and don;t mind the language at all.
I am a Christian and Have a family but I only have to share with them what I choose.
I beleive if I go to another web site or forum where personal issues are shared to help another human being feel better about oneself that that information can be shared but not verbatum and not to hurt . but to aid someones recovery from obesity and its side effects. I saw what happened on the other forum and it almost kicked the mens locker room of the site.
I for one would really miss being able to share the encouragement that we give each other and I am willing to overlook and delete any offensive messages from TT or whatever you want to call the rest of the forum.
I choose to be happy today and I choose to have weight loss surgery because it is the best option for a person with my bmi of over 60. If I want a womans opiniion I will ask but for me if I choose to share men ..............ARRRRGGGHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!things on a men;s webforum I should be able to do that without being attacked or fear what I write will be used against me,
I have enough of that in the real world and for me this is an escape.
Thanks to the MEN'S SOCIAL GROUP AND MEN'S FORUM for letting me put in my two cents worth.

Buffy? Steve?,
I got your PM. When people open up honestly with others, it shouldn’t be made the stuff of jokes. But when the Men’s Board Members like Batwing: Boner: Dave, come over and read a woman’s post and bring it back here like this thread:
From the Latest "Tuna Town Times" - Extra Extra!
-and then joke it up at the original poster’s expense?  Explain how thats OK?  It’s only an attack if a mom does it?  Not if it’s Batwingman Boner Dave and others?

You say:  I should be able to do that without being attacked or fear what I write will be used against me, I have enough of that in the real world and for me this is an escape.
But a woman who is NOT on this forum is fair game to laugh at for her problems with being Obese?
Bull Sht!
You boys don’t want drama? Then why go out on the main message board and troll for women to make fun of here behind her back? If you really don’t women’s stuff here, then stop bringing the women's posts here.
Thankyou for your Private Message to me. But if you were a real man, you would have kept it PRIVATE instead of posting about it here!  Why post this and make more Drama as you call it.  You must love it.
I have two grown sons and a son-inlaw, and they are man enough to avoid this *****y backstabbing.  If you boys want to make fun of a woman’s saggy skin problems, have the balls to do it out on the thread she posted in, not bring it back to your clubhouse behind her back.
Obesity Help is a public board. Nothing will keep women from dropping in to read, and when you boys are posting ABOUT women here behind their backs, then be grown ups and expect an answer back.

Thanx to you guys who made that same point in the batwing thread.  Your moms are proud of you and your kids would be too.

Why should you care what is discussed on the MEN'S FORUM?
You guys can explore the Estrogen Expanse on the main forum, which you have co-opted long ago.
In effect, you have driven most men out with your (to us, being men) prattle, and then come over here to tell us what we can say on our own forum?
I don't see any men going over to your forum to complain about the frequent male-bashing. So, go away. We can discuss what we like, as can you, on your own turf.

I've tried to be one of the voices of reason on the Men's Forum.  I do realize that this is an open forum and that anyone who belongs to obesityhelp.com can read it.  I've been married for almost 34 years and I do take offense when some of the men refer to the Main Forum as Tuna Town.  There's just no need for it.   I stopped going there because I get all of the support I need on this forum.  I don't slam people on other forums.  I don't think men should be quoting what they see on the Main Forum on this forum.  The only exception to that would be to point out something positive like the other day when someone mentioned Shelly's high protein ice cream recipes.

Come on folks.  Let's act like adults.  I recognize that morbidly obese women have many of the same problems as morbidly obese men. If we only talked about WLS, recovery, food issues, and exercise then I think we'd be able to co-exist on one forum.  That's how it was when I first joined ObesityHelp.com in July, 2000.  But, it's not that way anymore.  Most of the people on all of the forums except this one are women.  And, they tend to talk about female problems in addition to WLS topics.  Morbidly obese men have their own issues.  This is the one forum where we come to discuss WLS and our own issues.  I ask the women *****ad this to respect our request to just allow men to post here.  I know I can't stop you.  But, I do ask you to just leave us alone.  I'm offended by the comments of some of the men.  I'd say I'm sorry for that, but I have no authority to be sorry for what someone else says.  I ask for the women to not respond to my post.

I also realize that some of the men who post here and seem to agree with some of the more vocal men on the Men's Forum may just be saying these things to feel like they belong to the group.  The men here know me and know that I am not slamming any of them.  I may disagree with what they say from time to time, but we have become a brotherhood.  We do support one and other.  Many men have become friends through meeting each other on the Men's Forum.  I just suggest that the men stay on this forum and don't stray over to the Main Forum if they find offense there.

Hmmmm  Bob ..  you just brought up an interesting concept ..  what if we could have our own men's "event" somewhere, sometime, someday?      I don't think OH would necessarily sponsor it, b/c of all the "controvers"y surrounding the MF (also, we had a men's breakout group at one of the OH events last year and only 3 of us showed up, plus the 2 speakers  ) ..   but heck, the Texas Message Board held their own event earlier this year and it was a big hit (and just as enjoyable as an OH main event, and in some ways even more so!)

We could have speakers to talk about mainly male topics relating to WLS from our perspective and concerns ..

OOPS!!!  I often make the mistake of reading the latest post first rather than looking down and seeing where the last post was that I had previously read.  Had I done this tonight, I would not have made my first reply on this matter.  I do support Boner and he has been a tremendous support and motivator to me.  Bob
