IDGOMB Monday
Sounds like you're doin' the job, my man.
Just for terminology's sake HIIT is usually 8 reps each so intense that it's impossible to keep the level of intensity longer than 30 seconds. Rest in between is generally 20-120 seconds. With an 8 minute warmup it's generally over in 20 minutes. This formula is said to keep the metabolism burning for several hours for a total calorie burn of over 600 and provide a major growth hormone ***********
Keep the Faith,
Dave
Ya, I'm probably using the wrong terminology but my "HIIT" is based upon Chris Carmichael's cycling interval routines which take an hour. The intervals are 2-3 minutes high intensity climbing(anarobic), 1 or 2 minute recovery then 5 minutes high RPM spinning then do it all again.
He's got a bunch of different routines but they're all used to build muscle as well as blow up your lungs. Whatever the objective, all I know is they are tough as hell and certainly get me out of my comfort zone.
