It's That Time Of Month Again (Men's Surgery List)
The day is quickly approaching. For me, it's Thursday September 18, 2008. Here in Milwaukee at Froedtert Hospital with Dr. Wallace. Having RNY and praying for the best. Can't say that I'm not concerned about screwing this up, but I'm more concerned with screwing up the rest of my life. Best of luck to all of the posts before me. You are all in my prayers for a successful change for life.
Michael, if Dr. Walton is one of Dr. Paul Pearce's protegees, you should be in VERY capable hands .. Dr. P. was one of the legends and gurus of RNY surgery there in Edmond, having been a surgeon for over 50 years or some-such ..
I had a friend who was Dr. P.'s main surgical nurse for many years until he retired last year (at the age of 80-something no less). She told me that Dr. P. was still doing several RNYs and band-to-RNY revisions daily right up until the day he retired
(dang, I just hope I'm in good enough shape to drive my car when I'm that old!
) .. Dr. P. did NOT like lap surgery though, and I think that is one of the reasons he retired when he did, as that is becoming "the" way of doing WLS anymore ..

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "
