Pre and post op Plastic pictures
Scott,
Just want to say - Congratulations! The transformation from your before to your after pictures is amazing, and the post-plastics shots make it almost unbelievable.
Thanks for sharing the photos. Sometimes it seems that only the ladies show their plastics work, and that doesn't really help us men figure out what might happen for us.
Congrats again,
John

Wow, your transformation is amazing! I can see why you're so stern in your opinions on the issue of skin post-wls. It's obvious you did what was best for you and I think it's safe to say you made the right choice.
Good luck with the ongoing recovery...btw, is that glue that they used all the way around? That's pretty awesome, I would imagine that will help the scars to heal a lot nicer, no?

It's actually some type of steri tape...it keeps the incisions together so that there is no strain on them and they don't expand. I have Keto gel, silicone based scar gel, to put on the scars daily once all the tape comes off. I have to say the scars look AWESOME...really skinny. The gel helps the scars heal flat and makes them pale quicker.
The incisions themselves have multi layers of stitching to make sure nothing pops open.....but after the 1st week or so all the external stitches were removed. Except on the T on the anchor cut on my stomach.
There is no easy solutions for excess skin...I know some in the athletic community say "lose fat and you'll lose the skin" in reality when you lose 300 lbs, I don't care who you are, you're going to have excess skin....100 lbs may be a different story, but even so I've seen people lose 100 lbs on these forums and their skin looked worse then mine, if you can imagine. I am kind of stern with the skin issue, because these snake oil sales men trainers are trying to make former fat people feel guilty for something that they cannot change through diet and exercise....I had enough of that preop, with doctor's diets and weigh****chers...lol.
