OT - "Pregnant Father Syndrome"?

I guess that's what you could call it ..  

  There was a blurb this a.m. on the local news about a new study that shows that fathers of expectant women have recently experienced a great increase in the amount of weight they gain, on average, during their mate's pregnancy ..   This was apparently attributalbe to several factors ..  the mothers eating more = the father's also eating more with them at meal time ..   as well as the fact that many mothers-to-be, along with their mates, are increasinglly eating more and more fastfood b/c it saves them time from having to prepare their own food (or for their family) during that hectic period in their lives ..          One of the guys interviewed in the article had always been "Mr. Buff" before, but had gained like 70 or 80 lbs. during his wife's pregnancy ..       

 I had never been aware of this problem before ..   

I could have told you that this is a true statement. With my last child she had 9 months of morning sickness. I would eat her breakfast and mine too. I definitely shoveled it in. If she wanted a malt. I got a malt. I sympathized with her eating. I was eating for 3 at the time. Of course this pre WLS days. I could not do it now.  Of course I could not raise a baby now either.
