So, I did it.  Went in Wednesday morning, was in recovery by noon, and in a private room by 3pm.  I first got up to walk at 6pm, then at 8pm, then at 10 pm, then at 1am and 5 am.  Everyone else who had the surgery that day were refusing to get up and walk that first day, but not me, I knew it would make me feel better.  So, now 2 days later, I am at home and feeling good, just minor soreness in the tummy, but other then that, feeling good.  Sipping my water, had 4oz of protein shake and some jello.  I honestly thought i would feel much worse then this at this moment.  Thanks for all the good advise my brothers.

Welcome to the other side. Don gave you great advice and it looks you're already on the way. Good!

Congrats.  It is great that you got yourself walking and that everything went well.  I did the same thing and felt pretty good like you.  I also was surprised at how good I felt.  Welcome to the loser's bench.

Glad  to hear things went so well. I too walked and walked while in the hospital Thank GID they did not ask me to walk the same day as surgery. It was horible the second. I can not imagine. But walk I did.

Way to go mellowman.
