Got the word on the job today

The HR person called me this morning. They hired an internal candidate from the department. I was pissed but I said thanks for the call. I sent a thank you email to them asking them to keep me in mind for any further openings so it isn't a total loss. I think they had this in mind all a long and just went through the motions to appease HR. They had to make it look legit.

SO I am still in my present position with no raise this year. Even though my boss and manager say they really want me to stay in the present position they aren't offering any money.

They asked me what it would take to get me to stay but that is moot now.

Sorry that this one didn't work out.  Hang in there.  The right fit will come along.   Sometimes it just takes way longer than it should.  Best of luck in your search.

Hate to hear you didn't get the job, Jack. Hang in there buddy - something good will happen for ya in the future!  It sucks, but try to keep your chin up and stay positive.

Just talked to my supervisor by IM. Told him I decided to stay in department lol. He said we will talk Tuesday. I actually like my job now for the most part because of him. We actually get recognized for the work we do.,

Sorry about the job bud. I am one that does believe things happen for a reason. I hope yours comes soon.

I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get the job you wanted.  Are you able to just work one job now, or are you still working for multiple employers?  Do you have health ins?  There may be plusses to your current situation even though they are minor. 

I wish you good luck in continuing to look for the job you want.
