  Actually, the Early Show also had a little blurb on this topic this a.m., too.  They had a male therapist on there to talk about what his experiences were with this subject.  I thought it funny when the hostess asked him how prevalent the disorder was with the ladies, he kinda ducked the question by saying that his practice mainly has male clients, and that, obviously, if a guy is engaging in this behavior there must be willing females out there doing the same, claiming that usually it is a lack of fidelity thing with the females.      He then went on to say, though, that "Internet porn" is often the means by which guys with this problem get gratification, as supposedly Ducovney (sp. ?) did.     That star supposedly spent $Ks on Internet porn.    (dang, someone needs to tell him about the FREE stuff on www.uselessjunk.com  ) 

It says as a society, "we reward male promiscuity." Let's see, rewards? Conditioning? Hey, it's operant conditioning. Show the rat how to "pull the lever" to get more and he will.

I read a book on the topic. The true addicts were using all of their time, money and energy to get anyone anywhere. The book eased all  worries about my own level of enthusiasm.
