I havent gotten to surgery yet.. But, I will say that just on the supervised plan I have lost about 49 pounds in 3 months.. But, I havent gotten depressed as much as I have gotten PISSY.. I mean really PISSY. Ive never been one to loose my temper. But, the other day I just laid into the pour lady at the supermarket drove her to tears over the sale price on a box of pasta.  I'm going to bring that up with my PCP on my fallow up this month find out exactly why that is. My good nature is slowly going BYE BYE.. I hope if comes back..

Yes, both M and Fs are subject to post-op. D., it can be very insidious and very serious, even fatal.  I didn't recognize mine until it was almost too late, and then finally got help.  I wish OH would start addressing this issue at its events.  It might save a few lives.

There are biological factors, as you have mentioned, as well as no less than 1/2 dozen potential situational factors responsible for POD.  I think I posted a few months ago on TT (errr, the Main Forum) a very good article by a Psy-D about the situational factors.

If you see the signs, recognize them and get help, a.s.a.p., guys (and gals).
