IDGOMB Friday-Saturday
Hey Guys,
Saturday here and barely Friday there, so why not a double?
Sorry I haven't had time to post this week, I've been sanding and refinishing my treated wood front porch (pain, sometimes).
However, I have been able to continue without a break every day this week. This week in addition to a double hot yoga combined with 90 minute bike ride Sunday, I was able to convince a slightly overweight coworker to meet me in the gym at 7:30 a.m. every day and do 5 different P90X DVD's. We did YogaX, KenpoX, Shoulders & Arms (X), Core Synergistsics and finally...
On Friday ... Cardio X, which is a combination of the previous ones.
In addition, Monday I was also able to do Shoulders and Back (P90X) and Tuesday, Plyo X (Plyometrics). Then, Thursday evening I introduced another coworker to Bikram Hot Yoga.
Today, Saturday: An hour of jogging, an hours of bike and half of the P90X Chest, Shoulders, Bicep, Tricep DVD, half of the Legs and Back DVD.
Tomorrow is double hot yoga sessions, since the membership is about to run out and I want to be able to do the positions fairly well before it does.
One thing I've learned from all of this is, your level of fatigue is something that can also lesson over time, as can your perception of difficultly and even pain.
Have a Great Weekend,
Dave

So, I did get off my butt in the evening and got to the Y. I did about 25 minutes of weights on the Cybex circuit (I think that is what it is called) and worked on just about every muscle group at a light to moderate level. I then got on the elyptical machine for about 15 minutes. Good day overall. Today (Saturday) I am at an all day training class for work. Don't know when I will get my walk in. We'll see.
Thanks for the advance IDGOMB for the weekend workout festivities. Took a day off yesterday but plan on a full gym workout today, along with washing, waxing, detailing the families 4 vehicles. Great workout.....wax on, wax off baby!!
Tomorrow (Sunday), I ride in the 100 mile Ride the Buffalo event where I try to break the 5 hour barrier for the first time. Should be a fast track as the weather should be cool and dry. The best I've ever done in a 100 miler is 5 hours and 49 minutes which was on this course last year at this time. I had a hyperextended elbow which limited my climbing ability since I couldn't even pull the frickin' right hand brake without feeling like my right arm was going to fall off.
Since I'm fully healthy and stronger this year, I figure 20mph over 100 miles is doable. Let's hope so anyway.
Weekends are great for exercise fellas. Git er done!!
