Do you still eat at fast food restaurants?

My wife picked me up some Wendy's chilli, which I ate at home and it lasted several meals.  I have not had fast food otherwise.  Let's face it, grilled chicken at McDonald's really is not all that great tasting, I really don't know about the nutrition of it.

When I have eaten out, my wife and I go out to a local seafood place and split an order of Crab lets, broiled seafood platter or lobster.  We have also gone out for Indian and been careful with our choices.

I have no interest in fast food joints, will eat there about 8 times a year.  I eat

Wopper Jr and 8-10 of wifes fries
Mc D's chicken wrap
1/2 of 6" subway roasted chicken
wife and I will share 3pc white meal from Kentucky fried

When she suggests fast food I cringe.

Almost never. Though, since I've been doing really heavy exercise and can't comfortably survive on lowcarb while doing it I have been splurging on nachos quite a bit. That said the salsa is made from black beans and fresh vegetables, so it could be worse.

We don't have any good fast food restaurants close to us. Even McD's went out of business. I guess there just weren't enough young people.

Do they even have them there, NotDave?   How about  Sushi Hut  ..  or maybe  Sukiyaka King

No wonder the Japanese are in such good physical shape ..   !    (and here we thought it was due to some "ancient secret" of theirs, if those ads here for Asian diet aids are to be believed   )

I really crave Jack in the Box (since it's less than a block away!! GRR)I don't eat any fast food other than I'll have Wendy's small chili once or twice a month depending on my day. I talked to my nut in length about it and she was all for it. Here's the NUT breakdown on it...

Lately I'm on a BK kick and eat a Jr. Whopper w. cheese (extra mayo, no lettuce) for lunch about 2 or 3x a week ..   Once I was really hungry and able to eat a full-size one ..

Please God, let me be one of those who are repulsed by fast food post-op. I'm one week out from surgery and my biggest fear is slipping into old habits. I am a master of rationalization.

Hell, I'm even struggeling on my pre-op diet. From what I gather, it's nowhere near as tough as some. My pre-op is basically anything I want but I can't go over 30 grams of carbs and I need to stay at 10 grams of fat or less. The struggle with my pre-op has me concerned about post-op eating habits so I'll likely stay completely away.

I'm afriad that if I go to Wendy's for chili it will migrate into a Jr burger, into a grilled chicken sandwich, into a single, into a crispy chicken, into a double, into a double with small fries, and so on and so on....

I've been told that after surgery it's not nearly as hard as it is pre surgery but it's concerning.

Any of you post ops struggle with the pre-op diet like I am or share the same fears I have when you were pre-op? If so, what is your post-op experience? Easier or harder than you thought?

To give you some idea of where I am, Last night I was home alone and I honestly considered eating a bunch of potato chips then throwing them up...  This sounds crazy as hell in the light of day but I can't tell you how hard it was to fight that urge off...

I hope this isn't a hijack...
