OT - "Emergency Job$" In the Ike-Affected Areas
I have a family member who works as a non-commissioned officer for a major security company here in this area, and he just heard that they are willing to pay guards $1,600.00 a WEEK (tha's over 4x what they usually make) to take a one or two month assignment in the Houston area to do general partrol and other guard duties during post-Ike cleanup .. (not sure where they'll stay, though, if no one has electricity!)
I magine the call is also going out for construction workers, esp. glass-installers ..
Anyone know of any other "emergency job" listings in the affected areas? Maybe we could start a thread for them here, to help out folks who know someone looking for work ..
