One Way to Know That WLS Has Changed Your Eating Habits For Good
Yesterday was my b.d.,
and, as I have always done on my pre-op b.d.s, I went shopping at the grocery store, aiming to take part in a (sad) "tradition" for me in the past on those occasions -- buying up all kinds of my favorite food goodies to celebrate the special day with.

Usually in the past, as a pre-op, on that special day I have typically bought a big pizza, all kinds of potato chips and similar bagged snacks, and different desserts, from cookies to pies and, of course, a small cake .. basically anything that struck my fancy as I walked down the aisles for once ..
(woohoo - what a way to "celebrate"!
)
Oddly enough, after I had walked down the aisles this time I was surprised to find when I had got to the checkout I hadn't bought anything outside my usual post-op fare (i.e. "high protein"), with the exception of a double piece of frozen key lime pie.
Nothing more "daring" really appealed to me this time, at least like it had in my pre-op life .
Perhaps a bit boring when it came to my eating on this b.d., maybe ..
but also a small sign that possibly I have finally broken the control that food had over me for so long ..
