stinky belly?
Okay, This is a new thing. I have stabilized my weight around the 180 mark. Well since losing 200lbs I have alot of lose skin around my belly. This is causing my belly button to stink like crazy as well as some strange fluids building up in there.
I have taken to washing it frequently and using peroxide in it 3x a day. Any other suggestions, it is becoming an embarrasing issue.
Thanks in advance

Sounds like a yeast infection the peroxide might help but you can get some spray like lotrimin or creams for yeast infection .
I would go see my Dr and get a script and be sure it is ok.
We have a hard enough time without skin rashes and be sure to get pictures and documentation as it might help get a tummy tuck for medical reasons.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Yeah, I've found that happen sometimes with me. I've just made sure to wa**** daily in the shower with antibacterial soap, and them I usually put some Neosporin plus some antifungal cream (Lotrimin, Micatin, etc.) in there. That usually takes care of it for me.
Seeing your doc OR a dermatologist isn't a bad idea, though. Think of it this way: medically documenting recurrent skin/umbilicus infections after massive weight loss only increases the chance that your insurance will pay for a panniculectomy or a tummy tuck!

Wash well, use hydrogen peroxide and use antifungal creams. It's probably a fungal infection. I'd mention it to your doctor too. If you have other "skin issues", such as folded over abdominal skin, etc, causing rashes, these are reasons for "trimming the fat" by a surgeon. A local plastic surgeon works with insurance companies, and applies the fees they pay for the skin removal towards the total fee of a "tummy tuck". DAVE

So you ended up with an "innie" instead of an "outie"?
After my 200+ lbs., I'm an outie, big time .. (can you say "umblicial hernia"?
