Nicely done, Fish! I wish I could do an hour of upper body lifting but me and heavy lifting just ain't compatible.

Now I didn't say anything about "heavy lifting". It's pretty damned sad actually. My final set on the Bench today will be at 165. There was a time when I warmed up at 185 and could rep 225 about 28 times. It's amazing how weak I've gotten. But the old feelings of actually accomplishing something by lifting, as opposed to just hurting for an hour, are starting to return. I'm kinda enjoying it again.

Took it easy with a single workout today:

The P90X workout was about 50 minutes long and is called
Chest and Back   and it is supposedly the hardest X upper body workout.

This workout contains dual sets of at least five kinds of pushups, which comes out to be about 200 over the 50 minutes. It has three types of bent over rows done two sets each and a total of about 75 pullups of various grips.

Pullups and pushups, especially when changing grips and doing multiple sets have the side effect or working the core.

I saw a P90x commercial on TV the other day and it intrigues me a little. When I finally get into a little better shape, I may look in to it.

By the way Dave, you're a double nutted stud. Just in case you didn't know.

Thanks, JFish (I think?!) A double-knotted stud?

Seriously, The variety of exercise that P90 provides brings a balance of exercise and fitness synergy that no trainer could provide. I use a 17" laptop to play the videos. Of course, there are very few kids in the gym at work and none of them are that serious.

It has to be a triple to count as workout! Better to change hands too, from time to time for good measure.  Thwackthwackthwack!!!
