Catheter blues

I had my DS surgery Tuesday, September 16.  I thought everything was fine...but it seems they were not happy with the amount pee I was producing.  They shoved the catheter back into the little guy and it has been burn and sting ever since.

Today I went to the urologist and he agreed to take the tube out Wednesday.  I can not wait...the little guy has been complaining since they shoved that thing in.  I hope this marks the end of the hard part.

Living on clear liquids is no fun, but thats another story.

Yeah, this part sucks, but it does get better.  Keep your head up (no pun intended) and follow all the rules.  It does get better and easier, especially as you develop a routine.

Feel better soon.

Been there...done that!!  Had to have the catheter in for a week at home.  No fun moving around and you can't get in any walking really.  Also was on Flomax.  A week later the nurse at the urologist put in warm water through the catheter and they took it out and allowed me told me to pee.  I started peeing and thanking God like there was no tommorow.  One of the happiest days of my life.  You should peeing again on your own!!  The anesthesia could be causing the problem.  A bump in the road in your WLS journey.  Brian

That's just what they did to me.  Sent me home from the hospital, put me on Flomax, and now I'm counting the hours until the tube comes out.  Went to the beach today...thinking I would do some walking but it's no fun walking while a plastic bag is strapped to your leg tugging on the little guy.

Thanks

I got the catheter removed Wednesday.  Thanks to Flomax and time all seems to be fine.
Everyday I feel a little better.
