Yep, it is great to get at least some exercise activity while doing something you truly enjoy Dave. I did not see a "Motorcycling" group or forum though.

Hi Bob,

Just wanted to tell you that I always look forward to reading about your ride adventures.  I am not a biker, but still get the way you are feeling via great description.  Thanks for sharing.  I like to save your ride posts for the evening at home so I can relax and enjoy.

Thanks again

Lou

Thanks Lou!  Motorcycling is the one thing that my wife and I do together that allows us to escape the daily grind, put all our troubles out of our minds, and just enjoy a feeling of total freedom and relaxation. Riding through the backroads, we meet so many diverse and interesting people, see different bits of Americana, and get to share some quality time with a few friends who enjoy riding as much as we do. Plus, we get to eat at some great small town mom & pop cafes and restaurants that have unique atmospheres and out-of-this-world food!  Every ride is like a mini-vacation to us! I truly enjoy writing and sharing our little adventures with you folks here, and hope ya'll find some enjoyment from reading them.

Hey Bama,

I can't tell you how good it is to hear that you can still enjoy BBQ (though in much smaller quantities) after WLS. I live in the heart of Texas BBQ country and it nearly broke my heart driving past the Salt Lick every day on my way to work, smelling that smoke and wondering...

Great post, great story!

Prior to my surgery, I could have eaten the entire large BBQ plate and all the fixins, had a couple of bowls of the homemade ice cream, and then some of the peach cobbler.  All I had was about 3 to 4 ounces of the BBQ pork and I was satisfied, but it shore was good!

Glad you enjoyed my little account of the ride!
