Hey guys,
I haven't been around much the last couple months.
It has been a pretty busy summer.
On top of just enjoying life more this summer, I started a new little home business that has kept me pretty busy.
A couple months ago some of you may remember me posting about wearing and making myself kilts this summer.
Well, it turns out there isn't anyone out there making kilts with the inserts in the pleats, so I started making and selling them.
I have been pretty busy making kilts ever since.
I just seriously started this thing about a month ago, and I am already backed up to about a 3 week waiting period to get kilts done and out the door.
I guess it helps that my kilts are considerably less expensive than Utilikilts, which seems to be the one everyone thinks of when talking about modern style kilts.

My weight seems to have settled right around 235 pounds.
I have been right around that weight, give or take 3 pounds, for about the last 2 months.
It has been so nice to be able to get out and do things this summer without sweating like crazy or feeling just exhausted from the heat.
I have gone to some new fairs this year where I was on my feet, running around all day in 80 to 90 degree weather, and felt great doing it.
No back or knee pain, and felt ready to go for more the next day.

All this, and I still have a little over a month to hit my one year anniversary.
Life is good.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi.
I will try to get in here more often now that things have slowed down some.

Here is a link to the new business if any of you are ready to strap on a kilt.
Most comfortable garment you will ever wear.

Yup, this is me at 235 pounds.
That's my, yup, I'm a badass in a skirt look.

Congrats on the loss and the kilt is really macho! You wear it well.

As for me, I think I'd have to be really careful about carrying a shoulderbag type laptop case in a kilt. "He's a lumberjack and he's okay!"

Best Wishes,

Dave

Hi Wolfman .. ltns and glad you checked in and are doing so well ..

What are the "inserts" in the pleats for?   are they so that the size can be adjusted if weight is gained or lost?

Looks like this may start a new fashion trend ..  I have always wished (esp. back when pre-op) we guys could have something "acceptable" to wear in public that was looser than pants or shorts, esp. in the hot summer ..  I was thinking togas, but the kilts are a lot more "breezy" and cooler ..

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "
