A Thought From A Men's Forum Expatriate.

Greetings Fellas...

 

Let me start this post by acknowledging the fact that the only time that I have posted in the Locker Room over the past 3 months was to lecture another member. 
Okay, that being said... The Men's Forum is the only board on OH for this post.

The baseball post-season is now upon us.

(and, the fact that the Mets are headed home for the winter, makes this much easier for me to suggest! ) 

 

 

In honor of our dear departed brother,  Scott M. (Head Parrot)

I will be rooting hard for, and sending all my positive vibes to, his beloved Chicago Cubs.
 

Every time I've heard talk about the Cubbies on the TV or radio this week, I've thought about Scott.  He would have been jumping out of his skin today... All pumped-up, and looking forward to the possibility of a World Championship, for the first time in a century. 

 

So, here's to joy in Marga-Wrigleyville.

 

And, if the Cubs pull it off... I'll be watching, and raising a bottle of Land Shark Lager in honor of the Head Parrot, while singing a rousing chorus of "Cheeseburger in Paradise"

Wow ..   glad you brought up Scott M. ..  I was just thinking of him the other day ..  I had PMed with his widow a few times several months ago and wondered how she had been doing since ..   Did they ever find out what exactly happened and who was responsible for Scott's demise, btw?

Very eloquent and thoughful post. Thanks man!! I think of Scott nearly every time a Jimmy Buffet song pops up on my ipod. He was a very kind man and such a success with his WLS. He is missed.
