It is that brown topic again, or not
Here is the deal. After surgery (RNY) I had the regular diarrhea, brown. But now 5 weeks out I have regular stools, except they are the color of light sand. All the time. Any one else have this?
I am thinking that is because they have no pigment from the bile but I still have my gall bladder. I do take the actigal to prevent stones. ???? The color is oddly unnerving.

The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
I read somewhere that it often has to do with the bile from the gall bladder and liver. After bypass, the bile is still being produced at the same amount, but the intestine has been shortened so there is more bile in the dump! That gives the yellowish or tan color to your excrement. The article also said that the continued production of bile can also lead to the formation of gall stones, and in some cases, bile build-up in the liver.
