Ok, hope I didn't mislead you

The good new is that a director called a few days ago and asked if I'd come in and audition for him. I haven't auditioned for 15 years, so it was pretty scary.

I went, sang two songs, read, and got the part!!! I'm the new "Rooster" from the musical "Annie." [hence the kitschy title to my post]

It feels good to be validated as a singer / actor. Back in the dark-ages, I often tried out for parts that I could sing the HELL out of. [I do have a really good voice] But I never got the part because leading men aren't usually the fat-guy. I always ended up as the friend, or..mayor..or something like that.

Now, it may not be the lead, but I finally get to play the sleezy, wiry, con-artist...definately NOT the fat-friend.

...and away we go!

What happened to Fiddler?  Or was it changed to Annie?  Brian

Oh, right. Valid question! Fiddler auditions are tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'm going to "double-book", but they encouraged me to.

Yeah, back in high school I had to audition for parts like that of an elderly A.A. lady who was battling her anorexia ..      (you KNOW I didn't get that one) .    


 Speaking of which .. is anyone planning on going to any Halloween parties this year disguised as a thin person?
