Van Halen - Old Druggies, But 50+, Lean & Mobile
Weezer...heard the name, but I have no idea what they play. Showing my age.
Diamond Dave is looking good. Wonder if he's had plastic surgery?
A friend of my wife who is a massage therapy in CA was following them. Massages are extremely important to being able to do splits at that age, which is probably why she was with them. I suppose they have the whole makeover treatment.

I wonder how recent these pics are. I saw a picture of Eddie somewhere recently and he looked like hammered owl**** He looks pretty good here. Course a tight haircut and the lighting hiding the lines on his face might explain. I saw these guys in the spring of '79 or maybe '80. They kicked a lot of ass back then and they only had one album out. I'd like to see 'em live these days, but I'd have to drive to a big city. They don't play the alleyways and culdesacs anymore.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
I can't remember if it was Eddie or David Lee Roth that made all those high kicks during the re-make they did of California Girls in the video of same many years ago, but I remember thinking back then "how impressive" when I watched it ..

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "
HW/461 LW/251 GW/189 CW/274 (yep, a DS semi-failure - it happens :-( )
There's quite a bit more to Diamond Dave than meets the eye, if you can cut through the noise and BS. He actually comes across as one of the nicer members of VH (except for maybe, the old bass player, Mike Anthony). He even received paramedic training post-fame and was a paramedic in NYC for a while. I heard it was in a pretty bad neighborhood where a rocker would never be reconized.
