OK, fellas.....time to fess up
I hit the gym 4-6 days a week depending on my schedule. At least an hour of cardio (eliptical and recumbent exercise bike). I usally do 30 minutes of cardio before weight lifting and 30 minutes after weight lifting. I split my weight training between chest/back, arms, and shoulders. I do abs every time I am at the gym. I don't usually work the legs with weights since I do so much cardio.
I'm definately in a wave. I go from exercising 5 days a week for 2-3 months to cutting back to 2-3 days a week for a month or so. I seem to be in the latter half right now, although with my new theater rehersal schedule I can count most practices! Dance is kicking my ASS!
Some days are a harder work-out than others. I try to at LEAST take the dog for a walk out on the dike. It's about a 40 minute saunder.

Ya, I'm in kind of a post-season cycling slump myself. Ups and downs are pretty normal from what I read so just need to change things up a bit and get back with it. Also, a little rest and recovery is a good thing both from a physical and mental perspective but just need to be sure the R&R doesn't become the norm.
By the way, I was watching a fitness medical show on the boob tube and the chef guy, Rocco called in and was telling everyone how Dancing with the Stars training was kicking his ass. Gave me a new respect for how physical dancing can get. Always knew that ballet was a kickass physical activity (ie. check out their physique) but didn't realize the other types of dance could be as physically demanding.
Awesome job, man.

Ok, Boner. I will be the first to do the fessing up. I will confess that I am not exercising like I should. I may walk about 1/2 mile or so about once a week. I thought about joining a gym, but I am afraid I would "waste" my money and end up not going. I hate going because of being around all the gym rats and their perfect bodies -- it makes me feel so self-conscience. I know I shouldn't care, but I do. Thought also about buying a treadmill, but can't really afford one that is designed for my weight. I am bending over for my ass kicking. Michael
Michael, since you have assumed the position . . . COME ON MAN, GET OFF YOUR AZZ AND GET WITH IT - NOW!!!! You at least need to be WALKING EVERY DAY!! NOW is the time to get into the habit. Seriously bro, you have risked too much and come to far to half-azz it bro!!
Don't be your own worst enemy - at least WALK!!
Ok, you may now remove the size 12EEE from your azz!
I won't kick you in the ass, my little 8.5 wouldn't do much. I will tell you though that my weight loss would speed up and slow down, when I started to walk every day it really helped. As I was walking I would start to jog through intersections. Then I would do it a few yards up on the side walk. Before you know it I was doing half a block and then a whole block. I felt so good walking that I wanted to move faster I guess.
I thought the same thing about joining a fitness center, but when I paid my money I had to go. I just couldn't stand the thought of giving them my money and not getting any use out of it.
