IDGOMB - Monday
As NotDave espoused to us, Monday is the most important exercise day since it sets the fitness tone for the week. Accordingly, I got off my ass this morning and hit the gym for an hour of lifting, stretching and heavy breathing.
Tonight, my winless basketball team takes on the only other winless team in a battle of the the TITANS! We need a win fellas as our team morale is slowly fading in the sunset. Anyone heard Beck's Loser song? That be us!

I had to squeeze in 20 minutes of Cardio before my weight lifting buddies arrived at the gym.
I have transitioned into weight lifting for a while. I have been kind of stalled/plateaued lately, and the last time I switched up my routine, the plateau disolved. So I'm hoping that another change will trigger the same affect.
After the cardio we did dumbell bench press exercise on the flat bench, 10 sets of 10 reps.
Tomorrow we use an incline bench and work other chest and shoulder muscles.

Got crushed again last night as the other winless team brought in two ringers who were really, really good roundballers. To give you an idea, one of them was a little all-american bball player at a division 2 school in Kansas and he was my guy to cover.
My goal was to limit the number of dunks this guy had since he could jump through the roof. Let's just say I was less than successful but I was able to admire up close some of his beautiful dunks over my bumblin' and stumblin' self.
So, we sit alone at the bottom of the standings but the good news is I'm getting in some good running exercise during the game.
