Hey Bama great job!

You had surgery about the time I got started with the apporval process so I've watched your progress closely. As for the 36' waist, I haven't been a 36 since Jr. High. I'm hopeing to get there soon myself!

Keep up the good work!!

Congrats on a job well done, Bama. You're halfway through the WLS honeymoon so your next six months will be spent putting the finishing touches on the new you.

By the way, don't be losing any more inches or girth in your feet. We need your 12EEEE around here for "motivational purposes."

My best wishes to a next six months as successful and rewarding as the first six months.

Boner

Dang. Has it been 6 months already? Seems like just yesterday you were one of those pre-op fatasses trying to hang out with all of us skinny post-ops. Just kidding of course.

I know it's been an exciting 6 months for you. Getting your life back, when at one time you felt like it was all but lost, is a mindblowing experience. I know cause that's where I'm at too. The huge temptation that I'm facing as I get further along is to be satisfied with getting close to goal, and not finish. Those of us who are in the 6 month to 1 year phase of this journey need to kick each other's ass to finish the race. I'm 40 lbs from goal and starting to have those little doubts as to how hard I want to work to get there. A little ass kicking from the 2 and 3 year out guys who've maintained might come in handy too.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.

Ya know Fish, you're right. It does seem like this 6 months has flown by. When I really stop and think about how much I have lost and how far I've come in such a short time, it is really amazing.
Sometimes I get impatient and think it is going too slow, but in reality, it is happening purty darn fast!!
