Ex-fatman climbs the rocks!
Who would have thunk it? Me being able to climb up a rock wall after weighing nearly 500 pounds 3 short years ago. What a rush and feeling of accomplishment. I'm still high (and a little sore) from the 3 hour climbing experience.
My climbing mentor and friend, George (Spiderman) indoctrinated me last night into the sport of rock climbing. We met at at ROCK'n & JAM'n which has the tallest and steepest indoor climbing walls in the Rocky Mountain region. George is a world class climber with a personal best finish of 8th in the world. Quite simply, George is amazing and can climb stuff that's nearly totally horizontal.
Here's a picture from one of my baby climbs and I've posted a few more in my profile if you're interested. What a blessing WLS has been for me. Onward and upward, fellas!!
Boner

This is so cool boner. I love how you are continuing to find new things that challenge and motivate you. I, too, will have to put this on my list of future goals. It looks like fun. Last winter, I walked with my kids to the rock climbing and was totally worn out from the 3/4 mile walk. Jus****ching them climb wore me out. I would have been scared that one of those first rocks would have come out of the wall with my weight on them.
