FART - No more cholestrol meds!
Just wanted to share that I saw my PCP on Friday. He checked my blood and told me I could drop both cholestrol meds! He's gonna recheck in 3 months to keep an eye on things. Getting off those meds was a big personal goal going into WLS. I know just how you other guys who've dropped these and other meds for diabetes, blood pressure, etc. feel now. Kind of makes you feel a little more normal and not so much like your old self.

Great news- happy for ya man! I got off all of my pre-op meds too, but had to go back on the Crestor 3 weeks ago. My LDL (bad) cholesterol and triglycerides were great - but the HDL (good) was only 30. The ideal is 60, but 44 is considered the minimum acceptable level. According to the Doc, it's a heredity thing.
