OK, so I lied. Given enough stupidity, I can dump.

Hi fellows,

11 months out as of yesterday. I got up early and went to work before the wife or kids got out of bed. Had a 6" Subway sandwich a bout 10:30 or so, and didn't eat anything the rest of the day. Got home about 4:00pm and there sitting on the table was a bag of those little chocolate donuts left over from the wife and kids breakfast.

Here's what I was thinking: 1) I'm really tired of the  same old beef, chicken, vegatables, eggs, beef, chicken, beef, chicken, pork, etc. 2) It's Sunday, and I'll get back on the wagon tomorrow, 3) Cheating this one time won't hurt anything, 4) You've lost 200 lbs, you deserve a treat.

Yep. All those same rationalization skills that got me to 455 are still there, I've just kicked their ass for a long time. But they're still there.

Long story short, I ate about 10 of those little chocolate donuts with a big glass of milk for an afternoon snack. For the next two hours I suffered from the same symptoms that used to be known as a hangover back in the beer drinking days. I felt exactly like you do the morning after drinking about 15 draft beers, minus the headache. Touch and go nausea, where you know you would feel better if you'd throw up but you don't really want to. Sweatty face. Heart working a little too hard for its own good. I just had to lay down in a recliner and turn the lights off and wait it out.

Well, by golly, I learned my lesson. Next time I'll only have about 6 of those little donuts.

And I've been stuck at 255 for a month. Reckon there's a strong correlation between being stalled at 10 months out and giving in to the carb monster a little to often?

Yeah, I think so too.

Hello Fish,

I know what you mean about those little monsters in your head say  "Come on... Having justy one is not gonna kill you" but 10 Might put you in a world of hurt were you wish you were dead. I too have the urge for the carbs and occasionally give in. But I also work out like a banshee and I do need to have a few carbs now and then or I get light headed and dizzy.

You are doing great  man you have lost 200 lbs which is awesome but if yu want to make goal (here comes the ass kicking) STOP THAT **** MAN!

Best of luck making it to goal!  Im working on mine too. I seem to be stuck arround the 260 mark. but I will make it, just as soon as all this birthday cake makes it out of the house (Duaghters First birthday this weekend)! Damn those birthday cakes and I wont ever try ice cream again because I do DUMP on the good ol cream and sugar concauction.

Good luck and stick to your doctors guidelines (I know I know...Easier said than done!)

That little reminder keeps us on trac****il we forget again.

Hey I noticed that you only ate only once in a 10 hour period, that could be part of your stall problem.  You should be eating every 3 hours to keep your metabolism going.  I eat 7 meals a day.

Mr. Fish, I'm out 18 mounts today. No matter what I do my body has said enough. Don't Dump, but don't kill yourself either. I'm down from 346 to 200. Last Christmas I was 214. I've been as low as 198. I get worried now about weight gain but this 198/202 has been with me since July. Have a good one. Randy Winn

Wish I could frickin' dump, Fish! I ate an entire bag of cookies yesterday and nuthin' man! Back on the wagon today for me eating-wise. Also had an extra hard workout this morning to "pay back." All I know is it takes a lot of exercise to work off a bag of chocolate cookies. Gotta do it though. Frickin' cookies.

Thanks for the cautionary tale, Fish.  I haven't ever dumped yet, but only because I'm lucky that I can keep crap out of the house.  If I had donuts around the house, I'd be in baaad shape!

11 months out as of today.  I can't believe how quickly the time has passed!

I agree. The time has passed quickly. A month from now we'll be a year out. It's getting to be hard to remember what the 455 guy had to put up with. I've kept one shirt and one pair of pants that I wore back then. I'm gonna wear them to work on my 1 year surgiversary just to remind myself of where I was.

Yes I'm still on the river. I had some friends closer to the river who were in trouble but the river is back to normal. The "Big Friendly" is completely full and all three rivers are backed up now, but the country is bone dry. Some day when I'm heading up your way, I'd like to slow down and meet you. Take Care Randy
