Post-Ops - Ever Had A "M.O.M." Moment?

That's an upside-down "W.O.W. "(a/k/a F.A.R.T. here) ..   By that I mean what would normally be a negative personal experience for someone but which in fact is a positive one for you b/c it arose out of your weight loss ..   For example, having a pair of work-out pants split, not b/c of being too heavy for them but, b/c of your new-found thinness, your body was now so energetic and  flexible you tore them while working out so vigorously ..

I had kind of an exteme personal M.O.M. this a.m. when I tripped over and fell b/c of a phone line going to my computer (yes, I still have dial-up  ) in the middle of the night while going to the kitchen for a drink of water.

I started to fall forward, but to avoid maybe breaking an arm or two on the way down to the (concrete) floor I kinda threw myself backward instead.  Atlhough I hit the ground pretty hard,  I did it on a roll and almost did a backward somersalt b/c of my momentum, and then rolled back forward and up onto one leg.    (I was holding onto the back of a sofa chair for support)

As I stood there all upset and angry at myself for my clumsiness   , I suddenly realized that THIS time I had apparently not injured a thing, other than my pride, when I fell.      The last two times I had fallen, both many years ago when I was MO and SO, I had broken my shoulder in several places once and split my ankle in six places the other time.  In fact, both my tending doctors at the time said my bones would likely have not broken had it not been for my excess bodyweight landing on top of them.     This time I could have easily broken my pelvis or my hip when I fell, most likely flat and like a sack of wet cement, had I still been SO  .

Yep, I fell and yet I was HAPPY ..    M.O.M.!

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "

I hear ya bro. I have a part time 2nd job driving a vacuum truck in the oil field. Mostly hauling water to drilling rigs. The other night when I got to the location, without even thinking, I jumped from the second step of the truck to the ground, about 3.5 feet. As soon as I landed I was thinking, "dumbass you're gonna blow a knee out" but I didn't. I actually felt pretty damned athletic doing it. Kinda weird the things we can do now that were impossible a year ago.
The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.
