Who else thinks?
Great to have you back in the fold here in the locker room, Dave. I was telling everyone about your "eight pack" back in Iowa. Amazing accomplishment....one for the record books me thinks.
Regarding Obama...I agree it says good things about the good old US of A but on the other hand, if not for the economic meltdown and GW, the dimwit, things might have turned out differently.
Obama ran a masterful campaign and is a consummate politician which is to say, he says all the right things but most likely has a much different agenda in store for us. I'm a republican and voted the party line with the lone exception being Obama, Time for a change of tone at the top and I'm hoping that Obama can restore some confidence even if it's pure rhetoric. Time will tell but whoever became president has a hell of a mess to clean up.

Thanks, good to be back. I haven't been fooled by the politics at all. I just think it's good for us to be the first big nation to have a minority leader. From the outside, it looks really "American" - doing something that no other world power will be able to do in the near future, that is.
Best Wishes,
Dave

Benjamin Disraeli was a jew. At least ethnically speaking. So I guess we missed it by 130 years or so. Just sayin'.

From what I can tell by reading the papers, Brittain, Holland, France, and maybe several others could very well have middle-easterners at the top spot of their govts within a generation. I don't know that they'd be democratically elected though. Which I guess was an unstated part of your point.
Not trying to be argumentative.

The free man owns himself. He can damage himself with either eating or drinking....... If he does he is certainly a damn fool, and he might possibly be a damned soul; but if he may not, he is not a free man any more than a dog.

Ok, I'm not going on to a rant here..well maybe...
but ugle and too skinny...or head like a wingnut...these are observations...that have nothing to do with how he will lead our country,...
We, of all people don;t want to judge someone on how they look...that would kinda be like throwing stones..
I think it's ok to not like him, cause of his philosophy, the people he hangs with, his policies..but not his looks...
and i'm not gonna let someone play the race card on me for the next 4 years if I don;t agree with his policies...
I didn;t hold back on Regan, Bush 1, Wild Bill, or duffus Dubya...and think the man can take some barbs...and he doesn't need people playing the race card for him to hide behind...
