Home after surgery and doing well!
Hello gang
I had my surgery friday and it wasn't as bad as I had expected. I survived and I am still breathing and walking and sipping.
I went into the hospital friday at 420.7 and gained up to 427.9 due to swelling.
I did great with the strong IV pain diller but when it was through I thought I would be. I couldn't even walk my legs from hips down were so sore from not being able to walk for so long and then walking as much as I wanted to on the second day I had 65 laps and the third day I was lucky to get 35, sixteen laps is a mile.
I fianally got a double dose of liquid pain medication and my fibermyalgia drug and could walk easy enough again.
There was more paine with my broken back i***** than this bout of surgery but I swear I am tickled pink to have it done and behind me and I weighed 424 when I left the Hospital today .
The care and attention that I received was above and beyond anything I would have expected.
Thanks to this bboard for all the encouragement and now I am down to the nitty gritty of the 2 oz meals and sip walk sip walk.

Steve and Jami,
Congrats on your good starts! Know early out things can be a ***** but one you are in the groove so to speak it is a blast to watch your progress.
Again the Four Mantras of Life Post WLS:
1. Sip, sip, sip. Need the fluids.
2. Walk, walk, walk. Need the excercise and prevent clots;
3. Any problems - CALL YOUR DOCTOR!! 'nuff said.
4. NEVER, EVER trust a fart!! You may redecorate your surroundings!
