second day home

Well I slept through the night and walked before breakfast
down to the end of the flat space on my road and back. Its not very far but I am not up to hills just yet.
I drove to town tonight because I havn't taken any pain meds since being home.
I couldn't beleive how relaxed I was going into surgery my blood pressure was actually on the low side. I usually dont like IVs but there were no problems and the surgery was fast 1.5 hrs and I started at 8 am and was in my room by noon. There were no hangups in recovery at all.
I told my 84 yr old mother that it was ment to be for everything to go so fluid and easy. I have no doubts about my angels wathing out for me and delivering me from all the torture that I heard other people go through.
I Even had a bowel movement before leaving the hospital !
I was so relaxed I had no blood pressure meds while in the hospital and I took a half dose today because it wasn't real high.
I walked the flat spot again this afternoon with my dog and he was overjoyed at the fun. I will try to take him more often.
I still am overjoyed that this surgery which I dreaded nearly more than life came off without a twist.

While it's healthy to maintain a perky, optimistic attitude you're still very very early out. You shouldn't take anything for granted at this point. Don't stray from the set rules your team advised you on and you should maintain this happiness! Awesome!
