Well hell, I thought the orthostatic dizziness I had been experiencing was getting better.  I hand't had any problems with it for a couple weeks.  I was even talking to the dietician about it yesterday afternoon.

Well last night, I got up and started for the kitchen, Lucky me I made it to the hard tile floor area, and the next thing I remember is my 5 y/o yelling at me and asking me if I was o.k.   Then my wife came running in.  About this time I was coherent enough to answer questions.

Luckily no serious injuries, my elbow is a little sore where I whacked it on the floor, but that's about it.

All of my labs have looked fine each time I have talked to the Doc about this.  Both the surgeon and the Primary care Doc say the same thing.  It will take time, make sure you are drinking enough and take your time getting up.  I have been good on my fluids and my vitamins.  I have Never had any problems with blood sugars, or cardiac issues.

I have another set of labs ordered, since they involve fasting, I will do them this Saturday.
I have a message in to the Surgeon letting him know about this latest issue.

Have they checked you for Menieres disease? Good Kuck and I hope they get to the bottom of it.

No we haven't looked at that, but after googling it, I don't have the associated symptoms, and it is short term, the google searches say it lasts a couple hours.  Mine is an instant on/off type of thing.

But, deffinately thank you for the suggestion.  I will mention it to the Doc if he ever calls me back.

I dealt with that for at least 2 years.   These days I get a dizzy spell from time to time but now it usually only happens if I drink a glass or three or wine.  :)    Best thing to do it just keep badgering your doctor about it.

Wow   sounds almost exactly like an incident involving my boss a few months ago at home ..

Turned out the doc (after my boss was taken to the ER in an ambulance) said he did not have a h.a. or stroke like they had thought, but was apparently just a little dehyrdrated, and that fact, combined with his usual pre-bed pill regimine were enough to have that serious of a reaction (I can't remember  if the pills were for insomnia, high b.p. or depression, but I think sleeping)   He started drinking more fluids and his doc reduced the dosage on the pill, and it has not happened since ..

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "

I've always had a problem with getting a headrush from crouching for a prolonged period.

At roughly 9 months out, I progressed to the point that getting out of my chair at work would also do it. I can blame my old quack doctor for it, because my BP overall had dropped significantly, but he refused to adjust my med. I ended up going cold turkey on it, the postural hypotension went away, and my BP is still well behaved.

If you're taking BP meds, getting them adjusted may well be the solution. Your Mileage Will Vary.

FWIW, around the same time I was also having hypoglycemia problems.
