Moving To Dallas - Looking for Support Groups
Lot of groups in the DFW area .. Ask on the Tex Message board and you should get a few responses .. Who was your surgeon, and what part of DFW are you moving to? (dang, I wish I was moving to S.A.!)

HW/461 LW/251 GW/189 CW/274 (yep, a DS semi-failure - it happens :-( )
btw, I don't think there is a thriving men's group ANYWHERE in the U.S.
(in-person, that is)
I was asking Sean about his men's support group in the Houston area while down there for the OH event this weekend .. I assumed that group was going strong, but it sounds like he only has 1 or 2 other members at present .. He says more guys actually attend his general WLS support group ..
I guess we guys "don't need no stinkin' support groups" ..

Dasloaf.....thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it.
As for men not needing support groups...I think that's hogwash. I went to a few meetings here in San Antonio mostly attended by women, but I found that we had some similar issues, and a LOT of differences. It seemed like most were just concerned about hair loss...etc.etc.etc. Maybe it's time for an ad-hoc men's group in Dallas through meetup.com.

Well, "Paul in Dallas" was trying to get one going some time back here, but it just never did materialize ..
I think Sean opined the problem is that guys - unlike gals - usually don't like to discuss their "feelings" with each other, face-to-face at least .. even when it comes to a shared situation, like WLS .. Very sad, if so ..
