Am I more friendly or are others?

I have just been noticing how people seem to want to talk with me more now than before,,,, or.... am I projecting on them and thinking that when in reality it is I who have changed in that I want to be around people more than I used to.  I think really, it may be both.  I definately am not as self isolating as I used to be, more outgoing, more talkative.  However, I also think I am able to see hwo much being obsese also leads others not to be as sociable with us as well.

On other news, I am now wearing size 36 pants and large sweaters..... Yeah!!!

It's a common phenominum mentioned on OH. In addition to now having women flirting with me, people in general are much more friendly to me then when I was 500 lbs. I guess I looked pretty scarey at 500 lbs....

I've spoken extensively about this recently.  It is very eye opening to see the change in people.  I think it's a combination of both.  I find that I am more comfortable speaking to people that I don't know now (even though I still "see" myself as fat), but also I think people are more open to me.  Either way, it's been great!

My luck is that is is the strange female cashiers at Walmart that tend to flirt with me.  One of them only had about 9 teeth in her mouth!

  I don't think I have changed my behavior that much (pretty much always an introvert) ..  but it seems like I'm now THE guy in the crowd that people ask questions of, for help in a store (and yes, for handouts  )  ..  Some of that went on when I was a pre-op, but now it seems to be happening even more so ..  Same for gals waiting on me calling me "hon", "sweetie", etc.  

   Of late it seems like gals now sometimes will like to touch me when talking to me, which was never the case before  ..  Recent example:  I was driving back from the OH Houston event this weekend and I stopped in a small town to eat at a very busy Crackerbarrel restaurant on the way home ..  It seems the young little waitress I had ended up like putting her hand on my shoulder 3 or 4 times while talking to me before my meal was over ..       (and yes, my wallet was still there when I left     )  In my 461 lb. days, I was told gals, even 200+ lbers, found me "intimidating" to them, just b/c of my size, and they would steer clear of me   ...   Viva la difference!
